We are hiring!
Come grow with GANAS.

We are looking for someone who understands and connects with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Someone who is a creative problem-solver, communicates well, and believes that making a difference often happens one family at a time.

GANAS is a growing organization, and we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. We value team members who bring ideas to the table, give and receive feedback, and help us find ways to work smarter, not harder. Collaboration, strong communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and a willingness to learn are important parts of how we work.

If you are looking for a workplace where your ideas matter and you can be part of building what comes next, we would love to learn more about you.

What This Role Really Looks Like

Supporting families takes both meaningful relationships and strong behind-the-scenes work.

Some days may include talking with families, helping with an event, or welcoming someone into the office. Other days may involve data entry, organizing files, making follow-up calls, preparing materials, scheduling appointments, or making sure documentation is complete.

GANAS is also a growing organization. While we have established programs and processes, we continue to learn and improve how we work. We are looking for someone who is comfortable asking questions, adapting when needed, and helping us identify solutions when something could work better.

You don't have to know everything when you start. You do have to be willing to learn.

You May Be a Good Fit If...

  • You can comfortably communicate in both English and Spanish.

  • You enjoy working with people and helping them feel welcomed and respected.

  • You are organized and pay attention to details.

  • You are comfortable using technology and willing to learn new systems.

  • You communicate when you need clarification or support.

  • You can work independently while also being part of a collaborative team.

  • You are comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • When something isn't working, you naturally start thinking about possible solutions.

  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and protecting the information families share with us.

  • You are interested in learning and growing alongside the organization.

Education & Experience

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Psychology, Public Health, Education, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.

  • Relevant work/life experience may be considered in place of a degree.

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families is preferred, but not required.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

What You Can Expect From GANAS

We believe expectations should go both ways.

As a member of the GANAS team, you can expect training and support as you learn your role, communication about your responsibilities, opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback, and a workplace that values collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

We don't expect perfection. We do expect communication, accountability, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to the families and communities we serve.

As GANAS grows, we want our team members to have opportunities to grow with us.

Schedule & Work Environment

This position is primarily in-person at our Palm Desert office.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours for workshops, community events, or other organizational activities.

Some local travel throughout the Coachella Valley may be required.

Applicants should also be comfortable with typical office activities and occasional lifting or moving of program materials and supplies.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $22.50–$27.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Benefits: Benefits available based on employment status and eligibility.
